Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Spaulding Schecter ("Spaulding Schecter," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our Pinterest scheduling and publishing service (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to provide the Service:
- Account information. Your name and email address when you create an account or contact us.
- Pinterest authorization. When you connect your Pinterest account, Pinterest provides us with secure access tokens through its official authorization process. We never see or store your Pinterest password.
- Content you schedule. Images, pin descriptions, links, board selections, and the publishing times you set up.
- Pinterest account data. Basic profile details and board information that you authorize us to access in order to publish on your behalf.
- Usage data. Standard technical information such as browser type, device information, and log data used to operate and secure the Service.
2. How We Use Information
- To publish and schedule pins to your Pinterest boards as you direct.
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To communicate with you about your account or support requests.
- To protect against fraud, abuse, and security threats.
3. Use of the Pinterest API
The Service integrates with Pinterest through the official Pinterest API. Our use of information received from Pinterest follows the Pinterest Developer Guidelines and Pinterest's Terms. We use Pinterest data solely to deliver the scheduling and publishing features you request, and we do not use it for advertising or sell it to third parties. You can revoke our access at any time from your Pinterest account settings.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited cases:
- Service providers. Trusted vendors (such as hosting and infrastructure providers) who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
- Pinterest. Content and instructions you schedule are sent to Pinterest in order to publish your pins.
- Legal requirements. When required to comply with applicable law or to protect our rights and users.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us, after which we will delete it except where retention is required by law.
6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and restricted access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to address vulnerabilities promptly.
7. Your Rights and Choices
- You can disconnect your Pinterest account at any time through Pinterest or by contacting us.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. We honor applicable requests.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
